Thank you for your question! For my patients having a BBL procedure, I recommend they take 3 weeks off of cardio at the gym, and 6 weeks off of weight training and yoga exercises. I recommend discussing specific post op instructions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well..based on your question, the most advisable for exercises such as cardio is recommended to do them 2 months later, so that the fat is not absorbed quickly.ideally, consult in person with your plastic surgeon.
Always ask your plastic surgeon about specific activities and when they can be resumed after surgery. However, if you are asking this question hypothetically, my response is working out may increase the muscle mass and in turn improve the shape. I usually ask my patients to wait from 4 to 6 weeks, depending upon how the healing goes. Healing should be far enough along to reduce the incidence of complications. I advocate continued exercise after a BBL as long as you do not lose body fat. Keep an eye on your weight, and decrease the amount of exercise as warranted.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hello Divabootaylicious, It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! Typically, 2-4 weeks after Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery, patients can gradually resume physical activity, yet avoiding strenuous exercise for at least 6 weeks. It is always best to consult with your plastic surgeon first, before starting to work out, since every patient is unique and will have different healing processes and deadlines. It is highly recommended to exercise and diet after your procedure to have long-lasting results. Without proper diet and exercise, you may gain weight after surgery and may lose the wonderful results of your cosmetic surgery. Best regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
Thank you for your question. Usually I recommend my patients to exerciser 6 weeks post-surgery. It is best for you to consult with your doctor before returning to the gym.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I recommend my patients to wait at least 4 weeks before resuming their workout rutine. If you have any concerns, i suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
Hi,Thank you for your question. I would always consult with your surgeon as far as your recovery but it is typically 4-6 weeks. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. For most of my patients I recommend to begin to gradually resume exercise between 2-4 weeks after liposuction and fat transfer. I recommend that patients pace themselves and only perform exercises at their comfort level. At six weeks, I allow most patients to resume all normal daily activities including exercise.
Thanks for your question. The answer depends on how the patient is recovering. Ideally, patients can resume light physical activity after one month and gradually go from there. However, please follow up closely with your surgeon to discuss any concerns or questions regarding your recovery. Best wishes in your recovery!
You should go by your surgeon's protocol. I, generally, allow my patients to begin exercising about 3 weeks after surgery with a gradual increase in the level of exercise in the ensuing weeks, Of course, you must use caution in the early phase of healing. If something doesn't feel good while exercising you should stop and resume at a later date.
Thank you for your question and photos. As long as you are not looking for an extremely large result, I believe you are a very good candidate for liposuction of your torso and fat transfer to your butt. I don’t ever recommend gaining weight, unless you plan to stay at your larger size. If you...
Thank you for this often asked question. Dents in BBLs are not that easy to fix. The most common answer to this question is to fat graft the area. However, the reason for the dent is usually tight fibrous bands at the bottom of the BBL dent. Using a pickle fork to release these bands oft...
