Congratulations on your recent surgery. It's still early after your surgery, so I recommend waiting to see if the dent improves. Sometimes a swelling resolves, small irregularities will go away. If you have concerns, reach out to your plastic surgeon for recommendations. Congratulations again.
Thank you for this often asked question. Dents in BBLs are not that easy to fix. The most common answer to this question is to fat graft the area. However, the reason for the dent is usually tight fibrous bands at the bottom of the BBL dent. Using a pickle fork to release these bands often leads to over relaxation, leading to a bulge which is even worse than a dent.In my experience (and yes, I have had a few dents), the best choice for correction of BBL dents is to inject Sculptra on two or three occasions, usually with about 30 days in between each injection. Sculptra thickens the dermis very much as it does in the face. Thus far, my results have lasted as long as 18 months and holding.
Dear fay1132,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your picture and questions. At three weeks, my only advice is do nothing. It is way to early after the procedure to worry about small dents or other things like that. It is going to take 3-6 months for the final results to be realized and until then I would follow the instructions of your board certified plastic surgeon.Best of luck!
Hi,It is still early to determine the final outcome. I would wait to see if the dent improves. If you still have concerns speak with your surgeon about a small fat transfer or possibly a filler!
Thank you for the picture! I would wait 6 months until most of the swelling has subsided. Then I would speak to your Doctor and show him your concerns. If the dent cannot not be fixed with a small fat transfer the I would go with the FDA approved filler Sculptra! It produces mass collagen growth. Although you don't see results for about 3 months but, it will definitely fix the dent .

Thank you for your question! At 7 weeks post op, you should be clear to go swimming as long as all incisions are closed and healed completely. I recommend discussing specific post op instructions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
