32, Mom of three, 5 ft @ 160lbs. I am in the "pre-op" of my surgery journey. Seen a few surgeons and just trying to find who is right for me. I have always had smaller breasts. I originally consulted to have a breast augmentation in 2011 but chickened out. Which I am glad because my life and body was changed so much. I have the typical "mom boobs" issues, deflation, a small amount of sagging and asymmetrical sizes (but its not too bad). Updated on 28 Mar 2022: So I had my consult today and I was so happy to find out that I did not need a lift! After having 3 kids it was so nice to hear. I've always had smaller breasts so when I did have my pregnancies they did get nice and full but obviously the fullness did not last. After my exam and talking with Dr Vijay we both decided on 450cc gummy bear implants, submuscular with inframammary incision (under the breast). I am 5ft and weigh 160 and he suggested I lose a little bit of weight before the procedure. Which for me isn't a problem because I have been shedding inches since I began lifting weights in February. I was able to book my surgery and pay for the procedure. End of June can't come soon enough!! Updated on 28 Mar 2022: Decided to finally post some before procedure pictures, I currently am a 34D but i think this is more due to my wide rib cage versus a large cup size. Before kids I was a 32B, had a very skinny upper body frame. Post kids my rib cage did get wider therefore having to go up to a C-D. Dr Vijay told me I would be going up about 2 -2.5 cup sizes after my 450cc implants.
Went in looking to change my shape and bring back what was lost from breast feeding and pregnancy. Wanted more under boob since I had nothing and a slight lift since I felt I needed that to get my desired look! I got moderate profile under the muscle 500cc both sides. I must not of realized one boob was bigger because when I looked at them after one was way bigger then the other side. Wish I would of noticed before so I could of got a different size but maybe it will go down a bit once it’s not so swollen. Updated on 19 Nov 2021: Feeling better today it’s day 5 I don’t have feeling in my of my left nipple like at all!!! But I hope it comes back after some time. The other I can feel but not like before. So far still happy I got them done but hope they drop soon and my nipples come up more. The main reason I got the lift was for my nipple to move up. so far it’s better but I wanted a little more. Still healing so I’m going to give it time and just wait and see Updated on 5 Dec 2021: This is a update for my infection I got on my right breast. I noticed it got really tender under my nipple area and when I would press it looked like bloody puss was coming out! I went to drs and they opened up the stitch to let fluid out and said I would have to start packing the small hole. Freaked me out the first time so husband kindly helped but after I was able to do it myself. Being numb came in handy for this. It’s been about two weeks of packing and they say I should be done sometime this coming week! But my breast are still high and I do not like the shape to the bottoms of my breast they look kinda flat I hope my nipples come up and my boobs round but I think that will just take time.I will see them tomorrow and will find out if I will have to be put on medication for them to drop more. Updated on 24 Dec 2021: So far so good i guess. I am not packing anymore so thats nice but i did notice that since they told me to stop packing the healing has been at that same point and not changed. It was doing so good coming from a infected hole to what it is now. I hope that with time that scar will go away.I did have to remove my tape from around my nipple due to me having to pack and my right nipple is bigger then the left so i hope that changes too. The nipples are healing and i noticed its not so puckered. I keep asking if they will lift more and they keep saying yes i still need some dropping to go. I hope my nipple come up just a bit more since I originally wanted a lollipop lift. i thought i needed at least that to get the look i wanted. I was told that was not needed and this “lift” would be enough. I do feel that i should of pushed for what i wanted more but i did trust my Dr and i hope he’s right. I would be disappointed since the main reason for my BA was for a lift. I am going on a mini vacation and i did have to go get a bra i know i should not be shopping just yet but my size is still a 36 DDD so nothing has changed even tho the tits are way bigger but im ok with that haha!!! I do have a before and after of be in a bikini ill post .I am still very happy and cant wait to see the finished product it has only been a month. Updated on 24 Dec 2021: Same bikini top in both pics. Wont be able to wear this anymore for two big reasons!! Updated on 8 Jan 2022: So I feel like they have dropped so much! They do look better in person (thankfully) but I’m trying to get rid of scars around nipples and under breast fold so if anyone had a remedy they used let me know! My left seems to be my bad side even though my infection was on my right. I wish the shape would match the other and rise a bit more. It used to be pretty noticeable if I wasn’t wearing a bra under my shirt you could tell my nipples were not even but it’s less noticeable now so maybe with some more healing that should go away! I did add lines to one photo to show the differences between one side versus the other. No matter what happens it’s still better than what I had so I am still happy but at the same time I knew I should’ve gone with a more intense left. so I don’t understand why my doctor was so against it because as you can see in the photos what I got just does not seem to be enough to pull up my breast where I would like them. I am almost 2 months postop January 15 so I’m sure with more healing things could change fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!! Updated on 10 Feb 2022: Wanted to post a update to my scar pics. I started using the scar strips a month and 5 days ago and wow I’m so glad I took before pics because I thought they did not change! Boy was I wrong!!!! I mainly started to use them because my infection site left a bad scar and I wanted to lighten it a bit. I would cut them into strips and place them around my scars then leave them for three days then replace with new strips. They stayed in place so well even under the breast fold with a bra on. I’m gonna continue to use them and check back in another month. If you are interested in getting them i posted a pic in my last update with the box and it was off Amazon. Hope this helps someone.
As my first time doing any type of cosmetic procedure It was a great experience over all. Dr. Vijay and his staff made me feel super comfortable and it was all done so quick. The staff especially had sooo much patience with the hundreds of questions I had. Im 8 weeks post op now & I’m loving my results. Thank you Thank you again.
So I’ve had fillers before but this was the first time from a plastic surgeon and what a difference. He took the time to really talk to me and see what my concerns were and then didn’t try to pressure me in to other things. A real artist!! He sculpted my lips and nose with great care and I look amazing!!
Very good surgeon! I was super impressed with how nice he was and how easy the whole process was at the office. I am a few months out and feeing and looking great. I am glad I did my research and picked him! Great overall experience.
I highly recommend Dr. Vijay. He has great bedside manner and made me feel at ease the whole time. I had a lot of questions going in and he answered all of them through the process. I’m very happy with my results!
I had a breast augmentation done in June of 2018 and was so happy with my experience with Dr. Vijay and is entire staff that I did a full tummy tuck with muscle repair this year. I’m 6wks post-op and when I say amazing doesn’t begin to cover it, I’m just mind blown at how awesome it looks and how amazing I feel! He answered every question with no hesitation and always with a smile and makes you feel so comfortable. I had other consultations before marking an appointment to Dr. Vijay and it just felt so right, I have more confidence in myself now, and it’s all thanks to him and his wonderful staff, seriously thank you from the bottom of my heart for making everything as smooth as possible, from start to finish. all of y’all took such great care of me. ?? Updated on 8 Aug 2019: Updated on 14 Aug 2019: Tightness is finally starting to subside, I’m only slightly swollen on some days. I have realized the salt is the enemy and I feel 100% better when drinking proper amounts of water. I drank alcohol for the first time since before surgery and WOW was that a huge mistake. 6 months of no alcohol and I never realized how extremely bloated it makes me.
I had the best experience with Dr. Vijay and his staff. He answered all of my questions and called me personally the night before my surgery. He made sure I was 100% comfortable with all of decisions and walked me through my after care. My results are exactly what I hoped for. I would recommend him 100%.
Dr. Vijay is always so friendly and welcoming! He is also very knowledgeable and conservative in his advice so that your concerns are improved as natural looking as possible. He has no issues telling you if your request is not a good idea. Super steady with his hands on botox too! Great doc!
This Doctor was so kind he answered all my questions and addressed every concern I had. I had lost close to 100 pounds and was very unhappy with my overlapping skin. The doctor removed the excess skin and tightened my muscles. I know have a waist that I didn't have before. I waited 25 years to have the surgery with the simple idea that i wanted to lose the weight and guarantee that I wouldn't be gaining it back. He answered all my concerns about infection and possibly scaring. He did such a wonderful job I have no dog ears or really intense scars. I am only 8 months out from my surgery and the scaring has almost disappeared.
Thank you for your question. If you are recovering as expected then I would recommend gradually starting two weeks after surgery. Of course you can start walking immediately after the procedure but exercise in the gym is something. Check with your plastic surgeon to see when you can start to sit for short periods of time before you start doing that. Most exercises done standing up that dont cause significant discomfort should be okay. Of course it is important not to overdo it. Best regards vijay Dr Vijay
Thank you for your question. From what you have written it is possible that you have a capsular contracture that needs to be treated. Please see the Plastic Surgeon who performed the surgery or someone you are comfortable with so that this can be evaluated.
Following liposuction, the healing time varies from patient to patient. In general, following liposuction the skin continues to retract and can change appearance for three months following the procedure. Most of the skin retraction happens in the first 6 weeks, but I have seen improvements in my patients for three months with appropriate post-operative care. Thank you for your question
A breast reduction does involve a lift. In the procedure the nipple is moved to a desirable and appropriate position and excess skin and breast mass are removed for a lifted, perkier, and smaller appearing breast. Regarding insurance coverage for breast reductions, this is very dependent on the type of insurance you have and your policy guidelines. Some insurances provide excellent coverage for medically necessary breast reductions while others have no coverage at all. Usually there is a weight requirement for the amount of breast tissue to be removed, documentation that supports the necessity for a breast reduction, and/ or documentation of other chronic conditions caused by the excess breast mass. In a consultation, your plastic surgeon will be able to determine if you meet medical criteria and the criteria set by your insurance company for help with the costs of a breast reduction.
Thank you for your question. For most of my patients I recommend to begin to gradually resume exercise between 2-4 weeks after liposuction and fat transfer. I recommend that patients pace themselves and only perform exercises at their comfort level. At six weeks, I allow most patients to resume all normal daily activities including exercise.
