I have lost volume in my eyelid, is it ok to have Restylane?

A combination approach would give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve this area. I recommend injections with cannulas to limit complications. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

Thanks for this question.Volume loss around the eyes is common. Filler is an excellent and long lasting method to reduce some of the volume loss changes around the eye especially in the tear trough area and the inner upper eyelid deformity. I consider this an expert indication and should only be done by someone who has significant experience, in order to avoid some potentially significant issues.

The eyes are one of my favorite places to inject fillers. When done well, it can provide an amazing and natural restoration. Results often last well over a year. Often around the eyes, it is critical to use canulas to reduce bruising and other complications. Most fillers can be dissolved, so it's not a concern for surgery down the line.

It is possible to use restylane in the upper eyelid for volume. You would have to be evaluated in person to what you might need and if you are a candidate.
