When they do occur, it is important to remember that in addition to the bruise, bruises bring swelling. I recommend that you let the bruise fade. If any swelling or fullness persists more than a week after the resolution of the bruise, that you see your injecting physician. The product may need adjustment at that point.
Hello there,Thank you for your question. With any filler injection, bruising is expected even though it may not happen every time. The bruising lasts 2 weeks on average. Arnica can help speed up the healing. If you must have it gone, you can go back to your provider and ask them to use phototherapy such as an IPL to speed the lightening process of the bruise along. The little tiny balls are most likely still swelling and I don't recommend touching them. In 2 weeks, if the balls are still there, go back to your provider and express your concerns. They should be able to smooth any imperfections and at that time, you can decide whether you're happy with the size and shape of your lips. It takes about 2 weeks for the swelling to decrease and to see the final result. Hope this helps. All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACSBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon
I always tell my patients to not love their filler injections for 2 weeks. Swelling is very common and sometimes immediate. It can last 3-7 days and a good idea is to use cold compresses. Cold compresses may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. This may be applied for 3 minutes, 3 times per day, for up to 3 days. This is best done with a bag of peas in a zip lock bag. Only apply light pressure to the area but gentle massage might be necessary if the bump is from the filler material itself. Get Arnica gel if you can find some and apply a few times a day as well to help treat any swelling. Avoid any blood thinners. Bruising can also last 1-2 weeks. I don't recommend hyaluronidase this early and wait a few weeks until the swelling has resolved. If it is persistent or you are worried, set up a follow up appointment with your dermatologist.
All bruises are temporary and it depends on when you were injected as to how to treat. if it has been 2 days then ice will help and if greater than that warm compresses. also you can take arnica to help. it is difficult to tell if the result is what you want in terms of shape until at least 10 days
Hi @relazb. I would recommend trying another product like Restylane or Belotero. Always seek treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
First I am so sorry you received what sounds like a very unpleasant service. Nurse practitioners should be working under the supervision of a physician who may supervise up to 4 nurse practitioners. The supervision does not need to be direct nor does the supervising physician have to sign off on...
Hello, and thank you for your question.Fillers, particularly Restylane products, can and do, yield outstanding and satisfying results. A lot depends on your injector- their skill, training, experience. in my clinic, we always undertreat rather than overtreat, because you can add more, but ...
