I have got a blue coloured mole just above my lips right in the junction or the depression below the nose. It is around 0.5 cm in diameter. It is slightly raised and has hairs growing out of it. Answer: Most scars still look better than big ugly moles. Excision is the really only option to get rid of the big ugly mole. A couple of dermabrasions after the excision will help a lot to fade the mark.

The choice becomes a scar or leaving the mole as is unless it's characteristics are changing which might medically necessitate its removal. Choose a physician who is skilled in surgical removal of facial lesions.
