I have a mole removed via shave biopsy and the results came back moderate atypical mole, examined margins negative. The dermatologist office leaves it up to the patient if they want to go back and get more taken out if the results and mild or moderate. What should I do based on the diagnosis?
Hello, I'm new here. Lately I've been thought anxiety so I'm a little hypochondriac and I notice I have two moles on the foreskin of my penis that probably I didn't notice until now. So my question is, Do they look like normal moles or should I be worried?
Hello! Ive had these lumps just below my eyebrows for years, and I believed it had to do with over-plucking my eyebrows when I was a teen. But, this morning I awoke with a new one on my nose next to my eye- where I never grow hair. Im very self conscious of these lumps. Does anyone know what they are, and is there a treatment available for them?
Hi there, I have a raised mole on my face that I've had my entire life. My doctor is not concerned about it being cancerous. I cut it dermaplaning a few years ago and it left a dark ring or scar. As a result, there are darker brown parts on it that I don't like. I also don't love how much it projects out. I was wondering whether it would be possible to lighten the mole to make it a uniform colour, or reduce it's size/projection a bit? Thank you very much
I have a weird growth on my nose. It started out as a barely noticeable bump, but it has been growing slowly over a couple of years. I was NOT born with it. It showed up in young adulthood. Can anyone tell me what it is and/or how to get rid of it? It doesn't hurt and feels pretty firm, but it's noticeable and I hate it.
I have a mole on my face (glabella) and have received two different recommendations from two plastic surgeons. One recommended full excision, while the other advised against excision due to the potential for scarring in such a visible area and suggested a shave removal instead. My dermatologist isn't concerned about the mole from a medical standpoint and is leaving the decision up to me based on my preference. I understand that shave removal can carry a higher risk of regrowth, but Im also concerned about the potential scarring from a full excision. Since this is on my face, cosmetic outcome is really important to me. Id love to hear any insights regarding which option is best from a cosmetic perspective.
I have 2-3 small moles on my eyelid. Its flat and brown (benign). I tried to get the one on the right removed about 10 years ago. It used to be darker and slightly bigger. After about a year, it came back and kinda split into 2 (but lighter color). I would like to remove all 3 and was wondering what is the best option for this. Should I go to dermatologist again and have them remove it with numbing cream & scalpel and do laser OR do laser? Ive never done laser before and unsure how safe it is since the moles are on my eyelid. Whats the aftercare/side effects? And how much would it cost roughly? Theyre small and light in color, but it still bothers me.
