New York can be an expensive place to have surgery, based on the market. I have seen prices from $8000-$20,000 in the city. My advice is not to shop based on price however, but to find a surgeon within your price range with whom you feel comfortable and have a good relationship. Best of Luck.
Necklift costs can vary depending on the type of neck lift done- for example, are incisions made only under the chin or around the ear as well. Will a mini lift or facelift be done with the neck lift ? Will liposuction be performed at the same time. (I don't have extra anesthesia or hospital fees associated with these procedures). Many times patients ask about single procedures but rarely, are people candidates only for a neck lift. Most people, especially if over 50, require one of the additional options described above. A consultation would be required to help further define the exact procedures and pricing.
A necklift is a great way to improve the contour of the neck and remove extra fat. It is important to see a facial specialist to make sure you are getting everything you need with the necklift. Go in for some consultations and look at a lot photos. See who you feel comfortable with. The average cost may be between $6000 and $10,000 dollars, but don't base your decision only on cost.
The answer to your question depends on your plastic surgeon's fee, facility fee, and anesthesia fee. The cost can also vary significantly geographically. On RealSelf, the average fee of reported patients is $7,850. This would be for neck lift alone and would not include lower facelift or liposuction. Neck lift is often combined with other facial procedures for optimal results. I would focus on finding the best plastic surgeon you can for best results. Some bargains turn out not to be bargains in the long run. Many offices offer Care Credit financing to help make surgery more affordable. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question, Eleanor Mary. The cost of a Necklift varies by the type of procedure and the surgeon. I suggest that you narrow your search not primarily by cost but primarily by the surgeon's experience, number/quality of testimonials, location and, of course, board certification. While cost is certainly a factor, it is important for patients to keep in mind that their cosmetic procedures are investments. Best wishes,
Neck lifts are so easy to undergo under local and make such a wonderful improvement in one's life. Some patients only need a platysmaplasty which is a under the chin surgery for $6500 and others need a lower face/neck lift which fixes the jawline/jowls and neck together for roughly $12,000 for quality work. Incisions are hidden so nicely and the resulting look is so natural with a fast recovery time. Sincerely, David Hansen,MD
This depends on the region you live in. In St Louis a mini-facelift and necklift can be done in the office under local anesthesia for about 5500$. A more aggressive full facelift and necklift requires general aneshesia, but can be done for about 14-16,000$. I would think these prices may be higher on the East and West coast.
These are great questions you are asking. Thecost of a neck lift is dependent on a few factors in my practice. Theyare:1) Facility Fee2) Anesthesia Fee3) Surgeon’s FeeI will talk about each of them. The facility fee is cost paid to the locationwhere is surgery is performed. This covers all of the supplies, instruments, and staff that will take care of you. This can be an outpatient surgery centeror hospital. The anesthesia fee is the monies paid to coverthe cost of the medical person suppling the anesthesia and supplies. The surgeon's fee is paid to your neck liftsurgeon. It covers all of your office visits before and after surgery and thesurgery. This fee will change based on the amount of work and difficultly ofthe minilift. Revision surgery generally will be more expensive.Generally speaking a neck lift can varyfrom 7,500 to 10,500 dollars.
Costs depend upon several variables- surgeon's fee, anesthesia fee, facility fee, and frequently a private duty nurse to monitor the patient early postoperatively. Patient safety comes with a cost, which is quite variable in New York City. Many patients benefit from a facelift for the best neck results and not necessarily an isolated Necklift.
Unfortunately this is a very difficult question to answer. This is because the fees very so widely from one surgeon to the next, and depending upon the techniques used an operative time. The best advice I can give:#1–only see a board certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon#2 do not base your decision on cost only. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. This is a surgical procedure, and you don't want to be compromising the safety and result simply to save money. In the long run that will leave you unhappy or worse!Best of luck!Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA
