Will friends and family notice my nose job and chin implant?

Thank you for your question. This depends upon the degree of work you and your surgeon have planned for your procedure. If your plan is more aggressive, the results may be drastic. If you have discussed more conservative approaches, it may not be noticeable to others. One thing I will tell you is that in the first 1-2 weeks you will be very swollen and bruised. You might want to reconsider telling close friends or family because you are going to require some help post-operatively. Best of luck to you!

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  A rhinoplasty and chin implant can be designed to have a very natural appearing result.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

This is a complex question to answer.  The answer to your question is in two parts.  If you have had a sincere consultation with your surgeon ( you have told your surgeon exactly what you would like and he has given you a reasonable, favorable and ethical approximation of what the result will be) then you are likely to be satisfied.  If you have seen the surgeon's work either personally or in photos and you like the results in terms of how natural and effective they are then you are also likely to be satisfied.  Remember, cosmetic surgery is about affecting a change.  How much change and how obvious that change will  depend on surgeon, patient request, surgical limitations and market among other things.  These vary widely.  Make sure you feel confident and reassured with these issues and request another consultation with your surgeon if you are not totally convinced so he may reassure you.Best of Luck,

It is important to remember that you will have visible bruising and swelling for 2 weeks after both procedures.  The swelling subsides very slowly, therefore most family and friends do not notice that they have had surgery.  Many women will change their hair color to throw people off, since that is more surface area than just the nose and chin.    For many before and after examples of this combination, please see the link and the medial below 

Yes or no. The answer, without seeing photos, is that it all depends. They may see something different but, classically, not be able to place it. True personal story-as you can see, I wear glasses. I bought a new pair-different shape-two weeks ago. Since that time, my patients have asked if I cut my beard, colored my hair, had work done, etc. They recognize that something is different but not what...and this from plastic surgery mavens!  Good luck.

You are asking a very complex question, which is difficult to answer without seeing your photos and knowing the details of your upcoming surgery that you must have discussed with your surgeon. From my experience, many of my patients tell me that their friends, family and coworkers would not even realize that the surgery was done. They just see that something is different/ improved but are unable to put a finger on what caused the difference. Hope this is comforting, but again, you should discuss all your concerns with your surgeon before undergoing the procedure.
