Intense crying 3 weeks after rhinoplasty. Did I ruin my result?

Question

3 weeks after rhinoplasty a loved one died and I wept and wept and screamed and cried. I don't think I contorted my face in an extreme way but now I'm concerned I ruined my result on top of everything else. Is it possible?

I'm sorry for your loss. It is unlikely you negatively impacted your result. If you remain concerned, I would follow up with your surgeon. You need to have patience with your body as it begins to heal. The skin, bone and cartilage are all traumatized during surgery. Inflammation (swelling) is the normal response and will help your nose to heal and look beautiful in the end. Right now, concentrate on other things you like to do and let your nose and under eyes take the time to heal. It can take up a year for your final results. I hope this helps.

I'm sorry for the loss of your loved one. While it may increase some initial swelling, however, it should not negatively impact your results. You have to give yourself some more healing time.  Your nose and surrounding areas are going to be swollen for a while and you should be consulting the surgeon that performed the procedure. However, give yourself some time before going back in so some of it can subside. It can take up to a year for final results.
