Cost factors vary significantly for a number of good reasons: Prices vary greatly because the surgery itself encompasses a wide range of techniques that can be performed to different extents. My recommendation is to first find the most qualified surgeons where you want the surgery performed that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery you trust, then compare prices between them. See the below link on suggestions on how to find the most qualified plastic surgeon for your procedure. General Factors that influence the price of plastic surgery include: 1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctor’s office? Geographical location also has a significant influence. RealSelf has average charges for most areas of the USA. 2. Type of Anesthesia - local, IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, or an RN be used? 3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best and longest trained is most often a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery 4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - how difficult will your surgery be and how long it will take, etc. Will other complementary procedures also be also performed during the same surgery?
This cost will vary across surgeons, however it is often similar to other treatment methods for the chin. In my opinion, liposuction is the most effective in terms of cost and results. Dr Bonaparte
Fees for liposuction including the fee for the surgeon, surgical facility, anesthesia, and post operative care will depend on the city and surgeon. With that said it's best to set up a few consultations with different surgeons and make an informed decision based on their experience and speciality in the field. View their before and after photos to see what the outcome could potentially be.
The cost of neck liposuction to correct doublechin and enhance jawline is usually around $3650 which includes Surgeon Fee, Operating Room, Anesthesia and Follow-up. Often, this can be done without general anesthesia meaning you're calm, relaxed and comfortable but not completely out with a breathing tube.
ReportI generally perform submental (under the chin) liposuction through a single 3 mm (one-eighth inch) incision beneath the chin under local anesthesia with laughing gas (nitrous oxide). The procedure usually takes about 45 minutes and starts at $2750 for most patients. Extended liposuction (continuing along the jawline) is generally $3200. The cost includes the surgical and facility fees, the compression garment, and all routine follow-up visits.
Costs for these procedure along with the cost of anesthesia can vary from doctor to doctor but the cost may average around $3000-3500. Some patients need a chin implant for a recessive chin, which can make the double chin look much better after liposuction. I would suggest making an appointment with an experience plastic surgeon to better answer all your questions.
A full set of photographs are required to make a determination about which procedure may be needed. is impossible to make any recommendations without photographs and an examination. Some patients require a chin implant for a weak in recessive chin profile, which makes the double chin worse. Other patients need only liposuction in the neck, while some patients require a neck lift to remove the fat below the muscle as well as above the platysma muscle. When patients have inelastic skin in the neck, a lower face and neck lift is required to tighten loose skin. Costs in plastic surgery usually depend on:1) surgeon fee2) facility fee (OR fee)3) anesthesia feeFacial liposuction will help reduce unwanted volume and provide definition. The procedure can be done under local anesthesia or general anesthesia, which influences cost. Overall, the all-in cost ranges from three to ten thousand dollars in the New York region.Best of luck,Dr. P
Without pictures or a consultation, it is difficult to give you an estimate as to the total cost of surgery, which involves a professional fee, anesthesia fee, and ambulatory surgery center fee. The total cost is directly associated with the predicted amount of operative time. A consultation would be best to discuss all of your options and their costs. Best wishes!
You will pay more in a large city like NYC, than a small town. You will also pay more if you get a board certified plastic surgeon. however, you should insist on a board certified plastic surgeon, since this is surgery and there can definitely be problems if someone is not a plastic surgeon. You should expect to pay $3,000-4,2000 approximately. I would do this in my office with local and just oral sedations. david berman md
