I generally perform submental (under the chin) liposuction through a single 3 mm (one-eighth inch) incision beneath the chin under local anesthesia with laughing gas (nitrous oxide). The procedure usually takes about 45 minutes and starts at $2750 for most patients.  Extended liposuction (continuing along the jawline) is generally $3200.  The cost includes the surgical and facility fees, the compression garment, and all routine follow-up visits.

Costs for these procedure along with the cost of anesthesia can vary from doctor to doctor but the cost may average around $3000-3500. Some patients need a chin implant for a recessive chin, which can make the double chin look much better after liposuction. I would suggest making an appointment with an experience plastic surgeon to better answer all your questions.

A full set of photographs are required to make a determination about which procedure may be needed. is impossible to make any recommendations without photographs and an examination. Some patients require  a chin implant for a weak in recessive chin profile, which makes the double chin worse. Other patients need only liposuction in the neck, while some patients require a neck lift to remove the  fat below the muscle as well as above the platysma muscle. You will pay more in a large city like NYC, than a small town. You will also pay more if you get a board certified plastic surgeon. however, you should insist on a board certified plastic surgeon, since this is surgery and there can definitely be problems if someone is not a plastic surgeon.
