I’m 19, but ever since I was little I’ve had hollow eyes. Due to my hollow eyes, it always makes me look more tired than I actually am. Which is frustrating. They are also pretty impossible to conceal. Because I am still quite young, I’m assuming getting a filler or a surgical procedure would be too much for me at this point. I’m wondering if there’s any cream or serum that helps with younger people who have this problem. Or any other route I’ve not heard of that I can take. Thanks!

Answer: Hollow eyes in a young adult? Go ahead and get them filled! Thank you for your question. Many people think if you are young you have nothing to feel self conscience about. Not true! You obviously feel like your under eye area is making you look more tired than you are. Since you are 19, you are young and you most likely have this hollowness because you genetically inherited it. Lucky you. It doesn't mean you have to just live with it. If it really bothers you, you should get the hollowness filled. It will make you look less tired and because you are young chances are you don't need to much to look great. Because filler only lasts a year (or two), it's not a huge commitment and if you hate it you can have it taken out sooner by the doctor who put it in. You are a great candidate for this non invasive procedure. Good luck!

Answer: Dark hollows under eyes Hello, from your photos you look like you have "nasojugal grooves" or "tear trough deformity" that can be hereditary in some people and tend to get worse with age as you lose fat in those areas. 19 is not too young to have filler here and that could be an excellent option for you as it would fill the hollow and lessen the shadowing effect. If you prefer a more natural option, PRP (platelet rich plasma) is taken from your own blood and contains high concentrations of growth factors that can strengthen and thicken the lower eyelid skin so that the hollows and shadowing are less prominent. I would couple this with microneedling of the lower eyelids for better penetration of the PRP. Make sure you find a qualified injector. I hope this helps! - Dr. Leong
