How long will I have to wait after a chalazion surgery to put on some makeup?

I’m having a chalazion surgery in one week. It is an upper eyelid surgery. So my question is: will I be able to wear makeup a week after the surgery? Thank you.

Let your eye heal before you start using makeup again. I’d advise at least 2 to 3 weeks of recovery. However, your oculoplastic surgeon should be able to give you a more accurate timeline, depending on your case. If that feels like too long to go au natural, you might get some advice from a cosmetician about how to use lip color and other makeup techniques to compensate for the lack of eye makeup.
