Is it possible to burst a vein during a BBL?

Fat Embolism and BBL is areal problem. Recent articles from Latin America show the problem ay be larger than we think.The major problem is the idea of "injecting fat into the muscle" where large blood vessels are., and in reality do not contribute to the buttock enhancement.BBl is a major surgical procedure. It involves large volume liposuction, A major surgical trauma, and fat transfer to the buttock , another trauma, that requires an extensive experience and  knowledge of anatomy and basics of surgery.

What you describe is not only possible but is a documented complication of both liposuction and fat transfer.The complication is called a fat embolism.It is fortunately a very uncommon complication but it can't happen.It can cause serious life-threatening complications.There are very talented plastic surgeons in most countries around the world.Should God for bid something like that happen I would hope I would be in an accredited medical facility in the United States.Overall liposuction and fat transfer are some of the safest cosmetic procedures done.Even minor complications are rare.I have several personal friends who have died in car accidents but have never known anyone to die from liposuction.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
