Getting a Brazilian butt lift. I'm 25, 5'9, 155lbs. I'm an adult entertainer, so I can't take too much time off. I'm just wondering if my scars will be subtle enough for me to return to work after 4/5 weeks?
Answer: BBL and work Typically a month is needed to heal before going back to "work". If you are just talking about dancing and don't have to put weight on the area treated, you should be fine. The holes used to transfer the fat should be small but the redness from the hole may take months to fade. The problem is to reach the areas you desire will require a small hole in some place other than the buttock crease.Talk to your surgeonDr. J

Answer: BBL recovery for an Adult Entertainer/Escort As you know a Brazilian Butt Lift involves liposuction of various areas of the body and transferring them to the buttocks to make the domes more hemispheric and prominent. The degree and aggressiveness of Lipo varies ( more so if we do a HiDef liposculpture case) but the more definition means more trauma and longer recovery to the suctioned areas. I must confess I'm not sure what exactly you do and what you need to perform your job. But the liposuctioned areas feel stiff and non jiggly for 6-8 weeks. The little liposuction scars will be less pronounced but be visible at a social distance if someone looks for them. You would benefit from wearing a compression garment for as long as 8 weeks after the surgery as well as having lymphatic massages after surgery to the worked on areas. As as always the extensiveness of these operations vary from person to person as does the swelling and the healing. You should consider all these factors and allow yourself to heal properly. Answer: Realistic, how long until an "escort"can return to work after Brazilian butt lift? Based on your profession I believe that you should be able to return to work after 4-5 weeks. You may still have some areas of hardness and sensitivity but I don't think these should preclude you from your work. The scars, although still red, are very small and not very conspicuous. You can use cover-up on these if necessary.

Answer: BBL and recovery The incisions from the BBL will likely still be red and your buttocks will likely be swollen. Most activity can be performed at 5 weeks.

Answer: Time off after a bbl? 4-5 weeks should be enough time for you after a bbl. patients may still have some swelling, including the liposuction areas, but use of your postoperative compression garment will help with this. We also provide postoperative lymphatic massages which may help with this. The openings are very small, will be closed by then, and could be covered with some light makeup/ concealer if noticeable at that time. Below is a link to a patient of mine who had this procedure and was able to return to work without issue.
