I am in my early 20s and been waiting for the appropriate age to get a BBL but now that I am ready I have lost so much weight. I am 5’7 and weight about 150 Lbs. My main problem is how flat my butt area is and love handles. I am not sure if I have enough fat on my body for a major change in my butt area though. Realistically I know it won’t be a HUGE difference but would the results be good ? Or should I gain weight prior to surgery
Answer: Would a BBL be worth the results? Without examining you it is difficult to be certain but based on the photos it looks like you have plenty of fat around your waist to work with and I would not suggest gaining weight before a BBL procedure. Depending on what your goals are you are likely to have a great result from a BBL. The only way to know for sure is to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to see what your options are. Best of luck!

Answer: Would a BBL be worth the results? Hello, thank you for your question. There are a lot of women who can get nice results from the BBL despite thinking that there is not enough fat. Maximal fat must be harvested without creating any contour deformities. Based on your photos you can obtain nice contours from lipo/BBL. This will depend upon your selection of surgeon and your expectations for the BBL. Fat can be harvested from the waist and back and maybe other areas and transferred to the hips and buttocks. Gaining weight for a BBL is often counterproductive, if the patient gains weight that is fat, some of the fat will likely be associated with the buttocks. I think it is better to maintain your stable weight, I recommend you to schedule an email, Skype or in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Liposuction evaluation In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL). Kind regards

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Kathy1601, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Would a BBL be worth the results? Hello and thank you for your question and sharing your photos. Based on these photos, you would be an excellent candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), which typically includes a 360 liposuction of the abdomen and flanks, and fat transfer for gluteal augmentation. You have plenty of fat to achieve a good result and I would not try to gain weight. Liposuction of the flanks will narrow down the waist for an hourglass appearance and adding volume to buttocks in combination with liposuction of the lower back is intended at creating a natural curvy look. With the use of VASER liposuction and proper surgical technique, excellent high definition liposuction can be performed. And with proper technique, there will be more than 90% survival of the transferred fat. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and advice. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
