How soon after a neck and mini lower facelift do you begin to see your results?

How long does it take to start to see your result? Next week I'm getting a neck lift and mini lower facelift. I know I'll be bruised and swollen afterward, and I know it will take months to see my true final result. That said, is there an approximate period of time post-op after which you can BEGIN to visualize your result--when you begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, results-wise? I want to know when I will start to see where things are headed. Thanks so much!

Everyone recovers differently, so it's difficult to give specifics. 
However, if you are asking for a rough timeline, I counsel my facelift patients generally by about 3 weeks postop a good amount of the swelling had subsided, and you can begin to appreciate some of the new contours. To truly see the results, it usually takes about 3 months, and that is why I commonly counsel patients to give themselves about 3 months of recovery before important social events such as weddings, graduations, etc. The results continue to refine over the next year. Hello. After a neck lift and lower mini facelift, most patients begin to notice a visible improvement within 2 to 3 weeks, once much of the bruising and swelling has subsided. 
Although you'll likely start to see the "light at the end of the tunnel" during that time, it's important to remember that swelling continues to improve gradually. Most patients appreciate a much more refined result by 2 to 3 months, while the final result may continue to improve over the following months.
Being patient during the healing process is key, as the tissues need time to settle naturally and reveal the final outcome.
