275cc implants too small looking at fat transfer?

Fat transfer to the breasts can be an effective form of breast augmentation for up to one cup size increase. 200 cc per breast is typically the upper limit of fat injection recommended by most plastic surgeons. It is not that more cannot be injected; but on average, this has been determined to be the most that can be expected to live during one transfer. Multiple transfers would be required for additional cc's. In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred donor sites but fat from other areas can be used.

Hello @asbnm12 Breast fat transfer can improve breast fullness to a certain point, is technique used to provide symmetry and improve the body contour and therefore does not increase more than one size. fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. If you have donor fat, you may achieve about one half cup increase with the first transfer. Once your breast is larger, then more fat can be placed at a second time. You will not be able to achieve 275 cc's volume with the first transfer. Implants may be more realistic for you.

Compared to increasing implant size fat transfer is a lesser option.

A lot of plastic surgeons are apprehensive to do fat transfer and someone who has implants in place. The procedure puts the patient at risk for rupturing the implants during the procedure. to avoid this my approach has been to remove the implants during the fat transfer part of the procedure and then either replacing back the same implants or a new pair at the end of the procedure. it’s all done as part of the same procedure and while the actual grafting is being done I place a temporary breast implant in the pocket called a breast implant Sizer. Should we damage the size or than that does not have a significant consequence. Grafting the tissues without an implant holding the skin under tension would make grafting technically difficult and I would not expect a significant improvement.

It is highly unlikely you’ll get one breast increase in cup size from fat transfer. If you want bigger breasts you should opt for larger implants.
