Can breast fat transfer improve shape & fullness? Which type of Liposuction is recommended for revision of stomach? (photos)

Question

I am 5’9” 180lbs 40 y.o, previous trad lipo of stomach/flanks/back and bbl (5yrs ago). Dislikes: uneven lipo, slanted empty breasts, side breast fat. Not keen on an implant, would prefer lipo of under arms/side boob, abdomen, flanks w/ft to breasts to improve shape fullness, as well as slim down waste and even out previous lipo - what do you recommend?

Dear @loisfiona thank you for your question. Breast fat transfer can improve breast fullness to a certain point, the only way the form of the breast can be modified in its shape is through a breast augmentation surgery, breast fat transfer is not enough to give you that change. A lift is necessary to reaccomodate the mammary tissue and the areola and nipple are lifted. The breast shape is improved either by reorganizing the breast or, if necessary, a prosthesis is placed to add volume depending on your goal look. A proper assessment is necessary before an expert opinion can be formed. For your breasts I recommend a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, a tummy tuck can be done. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.

fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts.In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

You can get some improvement with fullness and shape with fat, but it is limited. You may have some internal abdominal fullness which is not treated with liposuction. However, residual fat could be removed if present. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your concerns and options.

Breast fat transfer is good for increasing the press size by one half to one cup. The procedure does not change the shape of the breast very much.  for patients who want a significant change in breast shape implants or implants with lifts are better procedures.

There is no particular type of liposuction that has any significant advantage over another in comparison to the choice of providers.

Choose the right plastic surgeon and everything falls into place.

To get a quality assessment and better understanding of what can or cannot be accomplished I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultations with experienced local board-certified plastic surgeons.

Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe.
