B cup - what size can I increase to with breast fat transfer?

Hi there, I’m a 24 year old wanting to get breast fat transfer. I have a pear shaped body and wear a 30b bra size. I have fat on my thighs and a small amount my stomach I’m hoping to use. Im wondering what size I can realistically expect to increase too? I have seen that 250cc - 400cc is needed for a one cup increase? Would this be the same for someone of my size? Also, would a surgeon be able to place 400cc in each of my breasts? Thanks in advance :)

The amount of fat "take" or survival will vary depending on the patient's health, age, and anatomy. In general, the consensus seems to be that the maximal increase under normal conditions is one cup size, but often less.

Hello @urbanfloraxo thank you for your question. Breast fat transfer or autologous fat lipoinjection is a natural volume technique that can be applied for aesthetic or restorative purposes. It should be noted that lipotransfer does not replace augmentation mammoplasty with prostheses, since each technique has its own indication and requirements. This technique is used to provide symmetry and improve the body contour and therefore does not increase more than one size. Fat transfer to the breasts can be an effective form of breast augmentation for up to one cup size increase. 200 cc per breast is typically the upper limit of fat injection recommended by most plastic surgeons. It is not that more cannot be injected; but on average, this has been determined to be the most that can be expected to live during one transfer. Multiple transfers would be required for additional cc's. In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred donor sites but fat from other areas can be used.

fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts.In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. A reasonable estimate of breast enhancement using fat (vs implants) is 1/2 cup size increase.  The maximum increase may be one cup size.  If you are thinking of a 275cc implant or larger, then consider breast implants, not fat transfer.

You did not show photos, so I cannot be specific. However, with fat, you can achieve up to one cup increase in size. If you want more, consider breast implants. Fat is less predictable.

Breast fed transfer can increase breast cup size by one half to maximum one cup per procedure.

The results are typically subtle especially compared to implants.

Patients who want a more dramatic result should consider having implants or consider having multiple rounds of fat transfer done six months apart.

The appropriate amount of fat that can be grafted is based on the size of the breast and quality of breast tissue.
