B cup - what size can I increase to with breast fat transfer?

The amount of fat "take" or survival will vary depending on the patient's health, age, and anatomy. In general, the consensus seems to be that the maximal increase under normal conditions is one cup size, but often less.

Fat transfer to the breasts can be an effective form of breast augmentation for up to one cup size increase. 200 cc per breast is typically the upper limit of fat injection recommended by most plastic surgeons. It is not that more cannot be injected; but on average, this has been determined to be the most that can be expected to live during one transfer. Multiple transfers would be required for additional cc's. In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred donor sites but fat from other areas can be used.

It should be noted that lipotransfer does not replace augmentation mammoplasty with prostheses, since each technique has its own indication and requirements. This technique is used to provide symmetry and improve the body contour and therefore does not increase more than one size.
