I am a 35 year old female who wants to undergo a mini facelift to tighten my lower face, remove marionette lines & to overall define my jaw line. Is a mini facelift the best option? Are there any other long lasting permanent solutions to get the desired effect that I am going for? Trying to find an amazing plastic surgeon in LA who would be willing to work with me despite my health limitations to make this dream possible

Answer: Mini facelift with chronic illness You are not a candidate for a facelift at this time based on the photographs, you presented, and you're only 35 years old. More importantly, is to see if you're even a candidate for elective cosmetic surgery with your chronic illness. That will need to be addressed by the surgeon and the anesthesiologist prior to any type of surgery you're going to have.

Answer: Getting a facelift When it comes to facelift, I am of the belief that people should either get one and get it done properly or wait until the time is right. Mini procedures seem to have great curb appeal to lots of consumers, but generally they tend to come with all the side effects of the full operation with only some of the benefits. Based on the pictures included, I don’t see the indication for any facelift. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
