I feel lumps under both armpits after traditional lipo. I did not do any massage after surgery. Also I have a crease in one armpit. Will those conditions improve over time? If not, what other non invasive procedures are there to try to improve my conditions ? Thank you

Answer: Liposuction You did not say how long ago you had the liposuction. If it has been over 6 months, you are fairly well healed. The excess skin can then be trimmed if needed. If you are still early in the healing process, do massage and wear your compression. Please discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Answer: Liposuction results To make an assessment on the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. We also need to know the timeframe of how long ago your procedure was. Liposuction results take three months before they are permanent. Patients can expect an even contours and lumpy sensations especially during the first few weeks after the procedure. By about six weeks results start representing final results, but final results are not staying until three months after surgery. Liposuction results are a direct reflection of the patient’s candidacy for the procedure combine with a skill and experience of the provider. In other words, how the procedure was performed. I suggest you follow up with your provider and ask him or her about concerns you have regarding the outcome of your procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
