6 months post breast augmentation - could the bump on my scar be a keloid and what can I do to correct it (photos)

I’m about 6 months post op Breast lift and augmentation, everything seems great implants feel soft and pain is non existent but I started noticing a bump on my vertical scar at the bottom and I’m concerned it’s a keloid. What can I do to fix it?

You should schedule an appointment with your plastic surgeon to have them evaluate the bump on your vertical scar. Your surgeon may recommend non-surgical treatment options such as corticosteroid injections, silicone gel or sheets, pressure dressings, laser or cryotherapy (freezing the scar tissue).In some cases, surgical removal of the keloid may be necessary. However, it's important to note that keloids have a tendency to recur even after surgical removal. Therefore, additional treatments like corticosteroid injections or radiation therapy may be used in combination with surgery to reduce the risk of recurrence.

From the photos submitted it does not appear that you are developing keloids.  The bump that concerns you may be a suture coming to the surface, scar tissue, or something else.  Schedule an evaluation with your plastic surgeon who will advise you how to proceed.

Your scar does not appear to be a keloid, but may be somewhat hyper trophic. I would suggest going back to your surgeon and discussing your options like micro-needling or even a revision if needed.

While your breast scar does not appear to be a keloid, it might be developing into a hypertrophic scar (thickened).  You should aggressively treat it now with:
Silicone topical liquid
Silicone tape
Kenalog ( a mild steroid injection)
