Current stats: 3/2013 - Left: 400 ccs saline - Right: 420 ccs saline - Profile: high profile - Sub muscular 6 months post partum, 2 pregnancies since old implants. At my consult, he chose 465 SRX UHP implants. He guessed I was around 350 cc, we didn’t know stats yet. He said I could get by without a lift for now. I’ve lost weight since (will lose 15 more surgery 3/2) and REALLY want to avoid a lift! Will bigger ultra high implants fill and lift them at all? Suggestions? Pre-Op in 2 weeks

Answer: Can I get by without a lift? Larger implants will give you more volume but they will not lift your breast. If you essentially like the look you have but want more volume, then the plan is a good one. If you want a perkier look or the nipple position lifted you will need to consider a lift. With weight loss and heavier implants, in time the skin envelope will stretch.

Answer: Breast augmentation with/without breast lift Hello, the majority of my patients with mild breast sagging prefer to avoid the scars of breast lift surgery and have implants alone, but it depends on their expectations of the final result. A small percentage will decide to have a lift, even if it is a minimal lift (called a crescentic mastopexy). Your surgeon is best able to discuss the pros/cons/risks/benefits of the different surgical options, as they will know your breast dimensions and anatomy.

Answer: To Lift or Not To Lift? Good afternoon, I understand your desire to avoid a lift- and I think by picking the correct implants- meaning bigger and HP, UHP or XHP- you can avoid a lift. But if I am reading your post correctly you got 400 and 420 in 2013? And you're only going up to 465cc? Going up 50cc is a waste of time- you won't look any different and won't get lifted- when I say bigger I am meaning 100 minimun-200cc ideally larger.

Answer: Implant size Dear librabby, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
