How to change shape and areola size - Implants or lift with implants? (photos)

If you are happy with the volume of your breasts then you do not need implants. The technique I recommend is a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a great candidate for breast augmentation with a donut mastopexy to improve the shape, position and size of your areolas. If you are happy with the size of your breasts, then implants are not needed. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. I agree that your breast size is good and I also agree that the areolae seem a little large (and a little asymmetric). My feeling is that you should consider a very carefully done and conservative peri-areolar mastopexy, which would reduce areolar size and could lift the shape a bit. The big warning: this should be done with a surgeon with experience because there are two major possible problems with peri-areolar mastopexy. The first is scar widening, and the second is a 'flattening' of the shape if the maneuver is too aggressive.

Based on the photos you have attached as "wish pics", your best option is a breast lift with augmentation. The lift will help with the shape and the areola issues while the augmentation will give the increased size you mentioned.

I recommend an in person evaluation with a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, if desired. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Mildly Sagging Breasts: If your breasts are mildly droopy, a saline or silicone gel implant placed behind the pectoral muscle might help create the illusion of perkiness. That’s because as the implant fills out the top of the breast, it also fills out the bottom, making it look as if the nipple has moved higher. It hasn’t. Thanks for your question! I would suggest a breast augmentation with a moderate sized implant (perhaps even a lower profile) with a breast lift. That will reduce the size of the areola, get the breast perkier and then add a subtle volume. Please be sure to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Dear Reserved603610, in order to achieve your desired goals you would need breast augmentation with dual implants and at the same time correct the location of your nipples that are above the inframammary fold, this would give you an amazing result. hello @Reserved603610 thank you for your question and showing your pictures. If you want to maintain the size or go larger definitely a lift with implants. If you do not mind that much about volume, then the best course of action is a lift to reaccomodate the mammary tissue and the areola and nipple are lifted. The breast shape is improved either by reorganizing the breast or, if necessary, a prosthesis is placed to add volume depending on your goal look. Best wishes!

Hi and thank you for your inquiry. You would get a more youthful shape if you have a breast lift. That would also allow you to have your areolae made smaller. An implant can be used to give better fullness and volume at the top of your breast since this area is very flat. Although this advice would require more scars than augmentation alone, I think the outcome would look better and more age appropriate. If you just have augmentation, your areolae will get larger, and the hanging skin won't improve. Try going to some in-person consultations with plastic surgeons who specialize in these types of breast procedures to get some different opinions. Best of luck!

Your goal photos are obtainable with an implant (small if you want Emily's look, or a little larger if you want the look of the other person in your goal photos) and a formal lift. The implant will give you more base and upper pole fullness volume, and the lift will reposition your breast tissue over the implant mound and permanently and predictably reduce your areolar diameter.
