I had tuberous breast. I had a breast lift and aug with 300cc silicone mentor high profile implants 7/2021. I love the size . I do wish my breasts appeared rounded and my Areola were both smaller. I do massage and use silagen every night as directed my surgeon. Will the areola shrink? Will this something I would have to fix surgically with a possible scar revision. Of the breast lift scars?
Answer: Scars can be treated with resurfx laser and melarase creams Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Scars Dear Wantboobies24, I understand you are concerned with the appearance of your scars. As your scars heal, it should flatten out and lighten. Loss of pigmentation or hyperpigmentation may also be experienced but will resolve over time. Always follow your surgeon's post operative care instructions when it comes to scar management to avoid any complications like infection and for faster healing and recovery. Answer: Scar results Thanks for your inquiry and excellent pictures, scar are fairly stable at the one year mark. You can definitely consider discussing a scar revision at that time and reduction of the size of the areola.

Answer: Scars Thanks for your question! Your scars will continue to mature and fade for 2 years, but my guess is that you will eventually benefit from a revision. I would suggest seeking out an opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Breast augmentation 7 months ago. At 7 months post op you will not see much change, if at all to your areola. You can consider a revision where the areola can be downsized. Your scars will fade over time. It takes about a year for them to mature. If you are unhappy with their appearance you can consider scar revision which can be done in conjunction with the areola reduction.
