Open Rhinoplasty Scar 3 months po, is my scar retracted or is it my collumela retracted? (photos)

The majority of rhinoplasty scars heal very well but some may heal in a less than ideal position.  Good news is that this can be corrected - usually through a minor procedure in the office.  However, given the degree of retraction and position of your tip, you may require a revision rhinoplasty.  I would wait for the healing process to complete and stay in contact with your plastic surgeon.  If they (or you) are uncomfortable with proceeding with a revision, then I would seek out a specialist in revision rhinoplasty.Good Luck,Dr. E

Yes, it absolutely can be fixed. Depending on much your want done to your nasal tip you might be able to do this under local anesthesia ( if it’s just scar revision). If you want more of the tip refined, then you will likely need some degree of anesthesia. But yes it’s fixable. Good luck!!! 

The underlying problem here is loss of support in the lower-third of the nose. This leads to a retruded and shortened columella which makes the columellar scar look like this. The poor scar is the effect, not the cause. There is no quick fix. You need to see your surgeon and discuss how the caudal support for your nose can be reconstructed with a revision rhinoplasty using rigid cartilage grafts (septum or rib). This is not an easy problem to fix but an expert in revision rhinoplasty can improve it. Best of luck.
