Would just liposuction of the arms give me skinny arms? (Photo)

Question

I was told that because I don’t have much saggy skin of the arms and my arms are a solid fat I won’t benefit from a brachialplasty (arm lift) what would be the best option for me to get skinny arms. My arms don’t go with the rest of my body and I just want them to be smaller. Please look at the picture and tell me what I would need thanks.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The
best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Based on
your photographs, you will be a better candidate for an arm lift after some additional weight loss.  This will give you a better result than liposuction alone.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

Dear Ateke,
Looking at your photo, I would recommend a liposuction procedure first... followed by a skin excision (brachioplasty) 3-6 months later.  Just liposuction will leave you with a lot of loose skin, and an arm lift by itself won't be able to remove enough tissue adequately.  Hope this helps and good luck!

You may benefit from both liposuction and arm lift. It would depend on the results of an in-person examination. It would be hard to determine which procedure would be best for you based only on photos. It would be best to schedule an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon of your choice for an in-person examination.

In my opinion you have excess skin of the arms and lipo alone will not give your arms a skinny look.  You might want to consider an arm lift. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons.
