Is facial swelling normal after liposuction on the abdominal and back? I'm two days post op.

It all depends on your definition of 'extremely'  Some swelling and water retention is perfectly normal after surgery.  Your anesthesiologist likely gave you a lot of IV fluids during the procedure.  "extreme" swelling is not normal.  Best to contact your surgeon's office.

It would e best to schedule an appointment with your board-certified plastic surgeon for an in-person examination and accurate assessment. Without any photo, it would be difficult to advise.
