Can anything be done to fix my original nose job? My nose is still crooked. However, my bigger concern is the way it sticks out on my face. I know a nose is in the center of our face and sticks out, however, i feel like mine looks super bony and is more defined looking and un-natural. It doesn't blend into my face like man noses do. My original surgery removed a lark hump in my nose but now i feel the tip is oversized. Does anyone have any revision surgeons they recommend? Thank you in advance.
Answer: Revision Rhinoplasty Hi @Zach101. I'm sorry you are not happy with your results. I recommend seeing an expert revision rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are several options for you that can be determined after examination. Best of luck, Dr. Nima

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty for facial harmony As a board certified plastic surgeon who has been performing revision rhinoplasties for decades, I often consult with patients who have had unpleasant results from other offices. Just based on your photos, it appears that a revision rhinoplasty could help with your concerns, but a physical exam would be necessary. The crookedness could be addressed as well as how, as you state, the nose doesn’t “blend” well with your features. I would like to see profile views in order to make a more accurate assessment. Revision rhinoplasty is a more complicated procedure than primary (first time) rhinoplasty, and therefore it should only be performed by experts. I recommend consulting in person with a board certified plastic surgeon who has decades of experience.

Answer: Nasal Balance Good Afternoon, Zach! I see what you're talking about. A revision would be a good option if you haven't noticed improvement at this point. The bone doesn't change a significant amount after the initial surgery compared with other, softer areas of the nose. For the bridge, the bones would need to be realigned, filed, and potentially even have camouflage grafting placed over top. The tip could be refined at the same time. An open approach affords the best opportunity to be precise. Hope this helps!

Answer: What you need to know before scheduling revision rhinoplasty Hello, and thank you for providing images along with your question. Based on your photos, it does appear you can benefit from having your nasal bridge and tip more refined, as well as fixing its crooked appearance. However, a personal evaluation is necessary to assess your nose, especially the thickness of the nose’s skin which can limit what can be achieved surgically. It is best to go for an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with a strong rhinoplasty portfolio. Such experts will have the optimal skills, knowledge of the most advanced surgical techniques, as well as artistry and knowledge of facial aesthetics, harmony, and proportion, helping you achieve the most natural-looking results. During your consultation, your surgeon will evaluate your nose, determine your eligibility for revision rhinoplasty, recommend the best approach, and ensure the best possible outcome.

Answer: Nose doesn't blend into face: Can anything be done to fix my original nose job? Every nose is different and unique to that individual. If the appearance of your nose concerns you enough to do something about it, it can be improved with a natural artistically performed rhinoplasty and probable septoplasty. What would be the best option and exact procedure would depend on an examination and discussion about desired outcome. Excellent results can be achieved with either a closed or open technique. Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on very limited photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, M.D., FACS La Jolla, California
