I had a rhinoplasty about 7 months ago with terrible results unfortunately. I think I have a saddle and an open roof deformity due to the fact that too much cartilage was removed. My dorsum is basically flat, wide and dorsal lines which used to be well defined are basically invisible now. I'm wondering what are the chances that a revision rhinoplasty with rib grafts can give me back a frontview that kind of resembles my old nose and a straight profile. Thanks in advance for your answers

Answer: Do I have a saddle nose? Thank you for your question. I’m sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with your rhinoplasty results. I would give yourself a full year to heal. The tip is likely to swollen and this may change your overall profile. Keep in contact with your surgeon. If this is not an option, then I would wait the full year, or at least close to a year, and find a board certified specialist with extensive experience in revision rhinoplasty. And most cases, revision rhinoplasty can bring your nose back to its form and function that you were hoping for. Best of luck, Dr. E

Answer: Again operation Hi. Mr. I am Asc. Prof. Dr. H. Baki YILMAZ (ENT surgeon) from Istanbul, Turkey. First of all, you are right about saddle nose deformity and open roof deformity. In order for these problems to go away, you need to have surgery again and it may be necessary to use rib cartilage in the surgery and you have to wait 12 month after first surgery
