Thank you for sharing your question. There is no problem using Botox if you're allergic to wasps. Good luck with your treatment.Best,
Hello, thank you for your question. There is no known cross reactivity between insect stings and botulinum toxins of any type. Best of luck!
From clinical experience and data - it should be safe to receive botox if you have a wasp allergy. We are concerned more if you are allergic to albumin (egg white) which botox is preserved with. It's always a good idea to get a formal allergy test from an allergist/immunologist just to know for sure all the things we have allergy to.
Thank you for sharing your question. Yes you can still receive Botox despite your reaction to wasps as their is not any commonality. Hope this helps.
Botox is made from Botulinum toxin which is unrelated to the material in a wasp's sting. You should safely be able to receive Botox injections. Please seek a board certified Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist for your treatments.
Great question. Botox is derived in the lab from a bacterial product. It should have no relationship to wasps. However, you need to notify your injector about this and any other relevant medical issue.Best wishes,Dr. ALDO
I am not aware of any negative interaction with using Botox in someone who is allergic to wasps. You should be fine with the treatment.
There is no contraindication for having Botox if you are allergic to wasps. Ensure you choose an experienced and expert physician injector for the best results.
You should have no problem with Botox if you are allergic to wasps. Best of luck.Sincerely,Benjamin J Cousins MD
Thank you for your question. There is no cross reactivity between Botox and wasps so it is safe for you to receive Botox injections.
In the chin area Botox usually lasts 3-4 months. But I have seen patient with results lasting up to 6 months. Botox can not permanently weaken your muscle, so be patient, it will start wearing off soon.
YES - indirectly by placing Botox in the Depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscle- a depressor of the lower lip-you can raise the commisure of the lower lip, this in turn raises the corner of the upper lip. Small amounts in the upper are can create a 'curl' of the upper lip but does not reduce...
After Botox it is recommended that little pressure be applied to the treated area for 24 hours and that you remain upright for several hours after injection. If you are concerned with your results you should return to your treating physician for assessment. Best, Dr. Green
