14 months post-op tummy tuck and still have a large upper bulge and swelling - advice? (photos)

Question

October 2020 I had abdominal plasty and the 360 Lipo. May 2021 I had reconstruction of my belly button because it closed up. I’ve had swelling and inflammation issues all the way up until nine months postop. I finally felt like my old self again but it only lasted five months before the swelling and pain when I coughed or sneezed start it up. i’m skinny in the morning and by evening I have a large upper bulge and swelling. Major pressure and discomfort! Haven’t been able to workout in over a mo!

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having with swelling.  I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an examination. The cause of the swelling and discomfort needs to be evaluated.  If the muscle repair has failed it will require a revision for correction.
