I'm currently a size DD - after having two kids my girls do not stand proud anymore. I contemplated getting a lift done but after researching, I discovered that I would probably need implants done too. Obviously, I do not want to get any larger ( in fact going down a size or two would be awesome- I only weigh 135 lbs and my back frequently hurts). What do you suggest?
Answer: Mastopexy will restore breasts to a more youthful appearance.
Large breasts can suffer aesthetically particularly after childbirth. A mastopexy will restore youthful dimensions to the breast. Volume adjustments such as breast reduction are sometimes performed at the same time.

Answer: Best Breast Operation for Me?
My best advice is to seek consultation with well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience helping patients in your situation.
Having said that, your description is consistent with a young lady who would benefit from breast reduction/lifting surgery first and foremost. This operation will raise your breasts to a better position on your chest wall. Whether or not you decide to have breast implants down the line will depend on whether you are pleased with the shape/fullness achieved with the breast reduction/lifting procedures alone.
You may find the attached link helpful to you learn more about the surgical options available. Make sure you also learn about the scarring involved as well as the potential risk/complications associated with these procedures.
Many patients (If properly selected and who are doing the operations at the right time of their lives psychosocially) accept the scars associated with breast reduction/breast lifting surgery as long as they are happy with the improvement in contour, size, and symmetry. This acceptance of the scars is the essential “trade-off” associated with many of the procedures we do in the field of plastic surgery.
Stay away from “minimal” breast lifting operations (such as “crescent” breast lifting operations), that are frequently associated with minimal results and carry the potential of unsatisfactory outcome as well.
Best wishes.

Answer: Breast Lift
If you have a DD sized breasts then a breast lift and moderate reduction probably will be best. An implant probably will not be necessary. The best way to get your questions solidly answered would be to consult with a BC PS

Answer: What Can I Do to Get my Breasts Standing Up Again?
A breast lift or a small breast reduction may well be in order. Adding implants will probably not achieve the outcome you desire given your back problems and desire for smaller breasts. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of breast lifts and breast reductions each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Answer: BREAST LIFT If you're considering a surgical breast lift, one way to see if it might help you is to put a pencil under your breast and see if it stays there. If it does, a breast lift might be an option. The only wayTo know is to haveAComplete examination any evaluationBy a board-certified plastic surgeon. The most common breast lift operation, called mastopexy, repositions the nipple higher on the chest wall. Women usually get this procedure on an outpatient basis, meaning there's no overnight stay. It takes about two hours and is usually done under general anesthesia. Implants should not be used to lift a breast as this will change in time, making the condition and droopiness worse in a matter of years. It is almost impossible to give you an idea without a proper physical examination. There are a number of measurements we used during our pre-operative consultation determined to determine if a lift if needed. Please make sure you discussed this with your plastic surgeon and make sure or usable over the pros and cons of each procedure. Best of Luck in your surgery!!
