Is there anything I can do to soften them and get them down to place?
Answer: My mplants feel hard on top 3 day after surgery Swelling, implants, breast gland are all contributors. I do not recommend massage for my patients because I tend to use textured implants. When we place them they are in position and have the least risk for contracture. So with our choice of Sientra implants textured round for shaped, these have the lowest risk for contracture for deflation and have a warranty to back it up. Wait for your swelling to go down and skin to relax. Somewhere between 6-12 weeks is often the time that women feel that their breasts are within normal limits.

Answer: My breasts feel very hard on top three days after the Breast Augmentation. What should I do? You are still very early in your recovery just being 3 days out from your surgery. It is common for your breasts to feel firm and sit high right after surgery but your implants should start to settle and breasts soften over the next several weeks. Continue following post-op instructions and going to your follow up visits so you can go over concerns and in person. Congratulations on your surgery! ac

Answer: Breast implants usually feel firm and high three days after breast augmentation Thank you for your question. Based on your description I would tell you that breast implants that 3 days typically do look firm and high especially on the top above the nipple areola. Next. However if you have unusual swelling, the feeling of pressure or bruising hematoma is a possibility. I suggest you contact her plastic surgeon for an examination.

Answer: Breasts are firm 3 days post augmentation regardless of the implant style you have chosen. They will soften and you should discuss strategies with your surgeon about manipulating implant position as it is very possible during your early phases of healing. You do not have a contracture, nor do you have to worry about one at this point.

Answer: This isn’t unusual right after surgery. Keep listening to your surgeon. It’s perfectly normal for breasts to feel swollen to the point of hard immediately following breast augmentation, and even more normal to feel very concerned over it. Unless you’re noticing other symptoms—like a high fever, or soreness/swelling increasing rather than decreasing—you’re probably healing right on schedule. The first few days are the hardest, and you should notice a big improvement over the next several days or so. If you have concerns, don’t hesitate to contact your plastic surgeon with any questions you have throughout the healing process.
