Is there anything I can do to soften them and get them down to place?

Answer: My mplants feel hard on top 3 day after surgery Swelling, implants, breast gland are all contributors. I do not recommend massage for my patients because I tend to use textured implants. When we place them they are in position and have the least risk for contracture. So with our choice of Sientra implants textured round for shaped, these have the lowest risk for contracture for deflation and have a warranty to back it up. Wait for your swelling to go down and skin to relax. Somewhere between 6-12 weeks is often the time that women feel that their breasts are within normal limits.

Answer: Breasts are firm 3 days post augmentation regardless of the implant style you have chosen. They will soften and you should discuss strategies with your surgeon about manipulating implant position as it is very possible during your early phases of healing. You do not have a contracture, nor do you have to worry about one at this point.

Answer: High and or hard breasts 3 days post-op are not uncommon. Greetings,3 days after surgery there are many factors which can make your breasts feel hard and appear high... Implants under the muscle commonly have these symptoms right after surgery. This is not unusual.You must discuss with your surgeon the care options to help you through this early post-operative discomfort. If you are having pain, massive swelling, and significant bruising, you should call your plastic surgeon immediately.Best Regards,
