I've got a thin face and I've noticed more pronounced nasolabial folds as I approach 40. They don't bother me much but I'd like to explore facial fillers to delay the increased folds. I do have consultations scheduled with plastic surgeons but would also like the opinions of doctors here on RealSelf, regarding best options and the approximate amount/syringes it looks like I'd need. What would you recommend, based on my photos?

I would recommend that you use Restylane for both the nasolabial folds and cheeks to help lift the folds.  I would recommend that you use 2 syringes for best results.  While you at evaluating which doctor to choose to perform your treatment, please make sure they discuss the cheek area.  If they do not discuss this, you will not have the best results.

you need a combination of sculptra, fillers and lifting.  I suggest you see an expert.
For facial rejuvenation I would suggest a combination approach of :

1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling
2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors
3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel, Viva, Co2/Erbium
4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill
5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting

Hyaluronic acid fillers such as restylane or juvederm or calcium fillers such as radiesse usually are the fillers for the nasolabial grooves and run roughly $550-750 per syringe. 1 syringe may be enough but 2 is common.

If you've never had a filler before, I would recommend Belotero which is one of HA fillers works very good on thin skin.  You may start with 1 or 2 syringes for your smile line and mid face together for natural looking.

You could considering starting with 1 syringe but I would estimate 2 total depending on your goals. I also really like combining platelet rich plasma (your own growth factors) with filler for this - look at vampirefacelift.com for a trained provider.
