My eyes are uneven and stretched after a facelift, should be concerned? (Photos)

Healing after the procedures that you underwent can take several weeks to even a few months. I would discuss your concerns with your surgeon to see if there is something that you can do to help improve your swelling and asymmetry more quickly.

Hello, thank you for your recent photos and question!  I would agree with your surgeon as in there is still swelling and healing to be had.  At this point it is to early to base your results on a end outcome.  I would suggest you will have a better end result by 3-6 months.  Best of Luck!

Healing times will vary from patient to patient. It is very common for one side of the face to have more swelling than the other. Your pictures show improvement. Continue to follow with your surgeon during this emotional period of recovery. The way things look now are not how they will look in another week. 

Your photos show a marked improvment over the 10 day interval. I would give it more time and be sure to use cold compresses or other measures as directed by your surgeon. Worrying will not help. Give everything a chance to settle down and then discuss with your surgeon.

It is still too soon. You still have some swelling, which will slowly resolve over the next several weeks. I do recommend following up with your surgeon about your concerns. Microneedling can help improve scars. I hope this helps. 

It takes at least 4 to 6 weeks for all the swelling to go away so that you can judge the final result. At this time you should be in close communication with your surgeon. If you trusted him enough to do your facelift, trust him at least for 5 more weeks. You should only follow your surgeon instructions. Don’t let anyone online tell you to massage or do ultrasound or any other treatment unless your surgeon recommends it. Surgery is a journey with you and your surgeon and the post operative period is part of it. You can always seek other opinions if the desired results is not achieved after a few months. No one has symmetrical eyes.  You are less than 2 weeks post op and you did not have eyelid surgery.   I would not at all be concerned at this point in time.

It takes at least a few weeks, sometimes a few months, for all of the tissue swelling to resolve and settling to occur. Sometimes directed massage or minimally-invasive technologies (e.g., topical RF) can help. Please work closely with your surgeon to help this process along. Best of luck and take care!

Thank you for your question.You are very early in the healing process. There is still a significant amount of swelling on that side of your face. Stay patient, it can takes weeks before things really start to look normal after a facelift.

Thanks so much for reaching out.  You are way too early in your post op period know your results.  Be in close contact with your surgeon and follow their instructions. This should all settle over the first few months.I hope this helps :)
