Hi @Meegs13. I typically recommend 1 syringe of filler. Keep in mind, 1 syringe of filler is equivalent to a blueberry.Best of luck,Dr. Nima
You are starting out with beautiful, full lips so .5ml of filler would provide you a subtle enhancement. I usually start with a full syringe unless I am injecting Volbella which comes as a half syringe (.6ml). Volbella is great for highlighting the normal youthful anatomy such as Cupids bow and the philtral columns. In your case, the amount of lip volume appears excellent so be careful "the enemy of good enough is better". You have youthful and beautiful lips to start.
Based upon the picture, I do think 0.5 ml can make a difference but this will depend on which filler you are using and what goals you have. I would recommend that you see an experienced cosmetic surgeon in person who can help you make that decision better.
This will depend on the final results you want. You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm). Most Doctor's start with one syringe. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert to go over your desired results. Best, Dr. Emer
This will depend on your goals and which filler is used. You already have nice volume and shape with your lips. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
If you've never had fillers in your lips, and in your case your lips are nice and full to begin with, then starting with 1/2 syringe of filler in say just the upper or lower lip, or just the middle part of both lips would be a reasonable starting point. You can always add more soon after if its not enough. Most importantly is to find a highly trained and experienced cosmetic physician injector such as a dermatologist to optimize results & safety.
Thanks Meegs13 for your question,Having 0.5cc of a filler injected will make a difference depending on the outcome you are wanting. Every patient is different when it comes to volume they're trying to achieve. You do have nice volume in your lips already so I would recommend you seeing someone who is certified in facial fillers such as a Dermatologist or Plastics Doctor for a consultation. This way they can go over all options of fillers with you as there a multiple fillers and treatments on the market and also let you see before & after photos of their work.Best of luck to you
Hello Meegs13,In general, 0.5 ml will make a noticeable difference. However, the real question is will that noticeable difference make you happy? The answer to this depends on exactly what look you are trying to achieve. Just keep in mind that it is easier to add more filler than to take it away. hope this helps!dr. silver
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to suggest how much filler would be enough without knowing your desired outcome; however, if you are considering balancing your lips then adding 0.5ml to the lower lip only may provide nice symmentry. Best wishes
Hi,Thank you for including photos of your lips. In my experience, patients feel that 0.5 cc of filler, even in thin lips, does not make a big difference in appearance after a couple of weeks. In your case, with relatively full lips, it is even more unlikely that you will have a noticeable change.Best,Mehdi Sina, MD
Thank you for your question and for attaching a photo. Your face appears the correct proportion for your body. I do not recommend doing anything.
Hi @Seeshells! I would recommend waiting at least 24 hours after filler injections to the face before using swim goggles. Best of luck to you, Dr. Nima!
Hi @rlbeisenstadt! There are a few reasons for this swelling. One being that the filler was not placed in the proper tissue plane. Most facial filler products that are injected into this area should ideally be placed in the tissue plane directly on top of the bone, or at least underneath the...

A combination of botox and lasers or chemical peels would give you the best results. Botox can be used to relax the muscles around your eyes which contract when you smile. Lasers, peels would diminish the wrinkles that are present at rest. Good luck
