Good morning,Regarding post operative clothing there are two things to consider - the garments provided by your surgeon and the clothes you choose to wear.Typically after your Mommy Makeover you will be provided with a breast stabilizing bra and an abdominal binder. Sometimes these will be combined as a girdle. The specific choices are made to hold and support your result optimally. You usually will need to wear this type of support for 4-6 weeks.Regarding your own clothing choice - comfortable athletic wear is usually your best bet. Slip on shoes (with flat, sturdy soles), loose fitting yoga pants and an athletic sweater that zips in the front. You need to avoid clothes that require a lot of bending, arm movement and pulling over the head.Beyond that, the choice is up to you.Best of luck with your recovery!Dr Nodwell
Depending on the type of procedure, you would be wearing surgical garments provided by your surgeon. On top of those, you should wear loose fitting and stretchy clothing. All the best!
During recovery you want to wear loose, stretchy clothing that fits well over your garment. Leggings, loose fitting pants, and non restrictive tops will be most comfortable. In the beginning you will have swelling so elastic waist pants will work well.
This depends on what procedures you’ve had done. Usually, a button up soft cotton shirt and elasticized sweat pants or pyjama pants are comfortable for patients who’ve had body contouring procedures performed. Try to avoid anything that you need to slip over your head, since you may not be able to, or advised to, lift your arms shortly after your surgery.
Loose fitting clothing that opens in the front and is easy to get in and out of will be the most comfortable. Good luck!
