March 2nd I had a tummy tuck/ breast augmentation. My stomach legs past my knees ,vagina & back are all very swollen, bruised, & extremely itchy. I'm on antibiotics, muscle relaxer,hydrocodone, blood liner which isn't helping with pain or swelling only gets worse. I was 178 going in the OR. I'm at 195 now due to swelling is this normal? I'm also in a compression garment and I'm taking a blood thinner nightly but my legs are so swollen I can't even squat down.

The weight you have gained is pretty typical.Inflammation caused by the surgery makes the small vessels in your body more leaky and this then allows the fluid to get trapped in the tissues just like you have described. This swelling will begin to go away soon.Lymphatic massage, leg elevation, tight garments , Arnica cream massages, and Bromelain can help. Also blood thinners may make the swelling worse for various reasons. It looks like you have some bruising along the inside of your thighs and this needs to be checked on. Your results look good so I'm sure the bulk of your swelling will pass uneventfully.
