After viewing pictures from various doctors I have not found any photos of tt belly buttons that I like. To add it is rare to find a doctor that gives a good full tt scar. Most of my loose stomach skin is above my belly button. While I do have some loose skin in my lower it is minimal. I do not want muscle repair. Is it possible and advisable to ask for a mini Tt and reverse Tt combined? I would want my belly button left alone. Can I do this at the same time as breast augmentation?

Answer: Not Standard of Care It would not be possible to do a reverse and mini at the same time. This would compromise the blood flow to the abdominal skin. You would be best served with a full abdominoplasty (to treat excess skin above and below the belly button) and finding a surgeon who will work with you to minimize scarring around the belly button and lower abdominal scar. Many patients do not follow up after 3 months or so (despite having an appointment) but try to find pictures that are taken after 6 months or a year. It takes a long time for scars to mature so make sure that you are evaluating scars after they are completely healed.

Answer: Combining Reverse Tummy Tuck with Breast Augmentation Thank you for your inquiry about the feasibility of combining a mini or reverse tummy tuck with breast augmentation, and for providing your medical history and pictures for a more informed assessment. Regarding Mini and Reverse Tummy Tuck: It's important to note that undergoing both a mini tummy tuck and a reverse tummy tuck simultaneously is not recommended. The primary concern here is the potential impact on blood flow to the abdominal skin, which could compromise healing and results. Floating Belly Button Approach: If preserving your bellybutton's current position is a priority, a procedure involving a “floating belly button” would be suitable. This technique avoids making an incision around the bellybutton and involves detaching it from the underlying rectus muscle during the tummy tuck procedure. Suitable Procedure for Your Needs: Given that your main issue is excess skin in the upper portion of your abdomen, a reverse tummy tuck appears to be the most appropriate choice. This procedure targets the upper abdominal area effectively. A reverse tummy tuck can be successfully combined with breast augmentation. This approach allows for a comprehensive enhancement of both the abdominal and breast areas in one surgical session. In conclusion, based on your specific condition and requirements, a reverse tummy tuck with a floating bellybutton, combined with breast augmentation, seems to be the best course of action. This plan addresses your concerns while maintaining the integrity and position of your bellybutton. I hope this information assists you in making a well-informed decision about your upcoming procedure. Wishing you a successful surgery and a smooth recovery. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Tummy Tuck, Renuvion Thank you for sharing your pictures and question. Combining a mini and reverse tummy tuck is generally not practiced due to the complex nature of the procedures and the challenges in achieving a balanced, natural-looking result. A full tummy tuck might be more appropriate to address this area effectively. However, if you're specifically looking to avoid altering the belly button and want minimal scarring, less invasive options like Renuvion skin tightening could be considered, although the results may be more subtle. It's important to discuss with your surgeon whether combining these procedures is safe and suitable for you, taking into account your medical history, the extent of the surgeries, and your recovery plan.

Answer: Mini or reverse Abdominoplasty with breast augmentation Yes, a reverse Abdominoplasty and breast augmentation can be performed at the same time. It isn’t recommended that if you opted for a reverse Abdominoplasty and breast Augmentation in addition to a mini lower Abdominoplasty, that you stay with a professional care taker for the first few days to make sure you maintain proper positioning and care instructions are meticulously followed for optimal healing. Your best solution would be to do the mini Abdominoplasty under general or even under local after you have recovered from your other procedures if you still find it necessary. If you’d like to be seen for a consultation to go over options in more detail, reach out to my office. Smith Plastic Surgery 702-838-2455

Answer: Tuck Do avoid the reverse tuck. This is not a good procedure for most women and is used very infrequently and just for special cases. You will not like the scarring or having your breasts pulled down low. You might want to consider the minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment like Renuvion for the whole abdomen or the upper abdomen with the mini tuck.
