Hello. I want to have Tummy tuck, 360 lipo, breast lift and reduction (no implants) and thigh lift. Im 40 yrs old no health conditions and no medications. I Would all this be possible to be done in one surgery? I want to travel to Turkey for the procedures and can only do one trip.
Answer: Not Typically Safe with Thighs All procedures can typically be combined, however I would caution you to combine the thigh lift with other procedures. With tummy tuck, you will want to be as mobile as possible to prevent VTE events (venous thromboembolism). Having a thigh lift at the same time as the other procedures will limit your mobility and predispose you to potentially deadly blood clots. I would save the thigh liposuction and thigh lift for a separate procedure.

Answer: Tummy tuck, 360 lipo, breast reduction and lift and thigh lift Thanks for your question. It is difficult to provide a proper evaluation without pictures. That said, I have performed many combo procedures, but I generally keep it to a maximum of two procedures for optimal results. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure the surgeon you choose has extensive experience with combo procedures and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Don't combine thigh lift with those Thank you for your question. Assuming that you are otherwise healthy, not overweight, etc. you can absolutely combine the TT, lipo and breast surgery. I think that you are gambling if you try to add the thigh lift. There is too much competition of blood loss, lymphatics, etc and the risk of poor healing is too high. Assuming that you are going to be spending several weeks in Turkey with family/friends and not just going b/c you have heard it is cheaper. Lots of areas that need to heal and being near your surgeon at the beginning is a good thing. Best of Luck!

Answer: Combination of procedures Dear Annemarie20, I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others. Answer: Balancing Surgical Goals and Safety: Breaking Down Multiple Procedures Thank you for your question regarding whether it’s possible to undergo a simultaneous tummy tuck, 360 Lipo, breast reduction, and thigh lift. I don’t think it’s a good idea to undergo this many procedures in a single setting. Even though you’re 40 years old without health conditions or medications, this is still a long surgery with a significant length of incision line that your body has to heal. Your tummy tuck will have a scar measuring approximately 12 to 18 inches. Your breast reduction will have scars measuring approximately 28 inches. Your thigh lift will have an incision line measuring approximately 28 inches. That means you will have approximately 74 inches of scar to heal from. That’s a lot; in fact, too many incisions to heal. I would break up your surgeries. I would suggest you undergo surgery in order of body parts that bother you the most. Therefore, if your tummy bothers you the most, I would make sure during your first procedure you have your tummy tuck completed. I would proceed with the rest of the surgeries in the same manner. However, you can combine several body parts into one surgery. Most plastic surgeons would agree that your best results would be achieved in two or more surgeries. One option would be the tummy tuck and the breast lift with reduction. Before embarking on your second surgery right away, let yourself heal from your first surgery. Your body needs to rebuild red blood cells which were lost during the surgery. It also needs to heal the incision line. Approximately one month later, consider 360 Lipo with a thigh lift. Another option would be to do the 360 Lipo and the thigh lift first. Then, one month later, proceed with the tummy tuck and breast lift with reduction. Another option would be to undergo a tummy tuck with a thigh lift, followed by the breast lift with 360 Lipo. As you can see, there are many combinations. However, most plastic surgeons would agree that undergoing a combined tummy tuck, 360 Lipo, breast lift and reduction without implants in one big surgery is risky. There is a higher risk for wound breakdown, infections, and blood loss requiring a blood transfusion with longer surgeries. I hope I've answered your questions regarding whether it’s possible to have all these procedures done in one surgery. Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen
