Steri strips removed too early? 3 weeks post-op BA. (Photo)

Removing your Steri-Strips after three weeks should not be a problem. From the photos, it appears that you are healing nicely. If you have concerns, make sure to contact your plastic surgeon for specific recommendations. Congratulations on your surgery!

Thank you for your question and photograph.  Your photograph indicates normal healing with some sensitivity to the bandaid and/or steri strip.  Best to follow the specific instructions given to you by your plastic surgeon regarding ointment.  Best of luck.

Hello,Thank you for your question and photo. These don't appear problematic.  It is common to have the steri strips off by 3 weeks if not before so you are likely healed enough to leave them uncovered. Keep them clean and follow all post op instructions given by your surgeon.All the best

Looking at the photo, your incisions look fine. It will fade over the next several months. Make sure you followup with your surgeon, he may want to reapply steristrips. Also avoid any underwire bras or any clothing that would put pressure on that area. 

There is a mechanical as well as a hygiene advantage to using sterile tapes over the wounds. The area is hard to see and changing dressing daily can be frustrating. If you first cleanse the area with 3% hydrogen peroxide and then redress with steri strips you will save some of the aggravation, though not as much as if you'd left it alone. By the way, paper tape along the wound can be helpful after the first week as you progress to wearing some  type of bra.Hope this information is helpful. 

Judging by the photo everything looks good, but if yu are concerned your surgeon should be happy to see you and check in person.  Best of luck.
