I'm only 1 day po and noticed as separation at the top of my areola incision. It's after hours for my ps office and I'll be calling tomorrow but wondering if this is something grave. I don't want to panic

Answer: Looks Fine Chemmomy: A slight amount of separation following the procedure you received is quite normal and I don't see anything worrisome in your photo. You should follow up with your PS but it looks fine to me.Best of luck to you in your healing!G. Robert Meger MD

Answer: AREOLA WOUND SEPARATION This is a common scenario, you can even put it back together with a steri strip... If it progresses see you surgeon... This usually heals by it self, with careful wound care... Best regards!
