Can malar mounds be treated? (photos)

Question

I have malar mounds and I don't know if anything can be done to give me a nicer cheek. I am not sure if it would look natural on me because I have a lot of cheek when I smile.

Malar bags have many different causes and different treatments.  For this issue it is best to see an oculoplastic surgeon with experience in cosmetic and other diseases.  This will give you the best chance of resolving the issue.  Good Luck

You appear to have prominent lower lid fat pads, a flat mid-face, and what we describe as "malar festoons".Seek a consultation with a surgeon who offers computer imaging. It appears that you have flat cheekbones which accentuate the "malar mounds".  Figuring out why you have the mounds is the first step.  If they can't be treated non-surgically, then filler or fat grafting to camouflage them is a great option.
