Hello, I was wondering what needed to get done to improve and have defined side profile as well as 3/4 profile? I’m not really sure what surgeries I need to get but I’m not happy with how my profile looks

Your lower jaw did not grow far enough forward, which is why your chin is recessed. You may be a candidate for jaw surgery, but there are many factors that go into making that decision. How is your bite? Do your teeth align correctly? Do you have any difficulty sleeping or eating? You may want to schedule an appointment with a craniomaxillofacial surgeon in your area for a full assessment. However, if you are strictly looking for cosmetic options, a genioplasty would be the best option for your chin.  This procedure would bring your chin forward and down, creating more projection and length to the lower portion of your face. A genioplasty has more versatility and can provide more projection than an implant. It will also elongate and add definition to your jawline. The entire procedure is done through your mouth so there are no external incisions (no outside scarring). Although the recovery for this procedure is a little longer than with an implant, the benefits and longevity are worth it. I believe a chin augmentation would best improve your profile. There are a variety of shapes and sizes available, with the overall goal being better balance without sacrificing femininity.

The profile photo shows that you have a very recessed chin which makes it appear short in the 3/4 photo. Chin advancement surgery would improve the profile and frontal appearance. The surgical options include a chin implant or sliding genioplasty. When there is significant advancement needed, I usually recommend a sliding genioplasty. Large chin implants can sometimes look a bit masculine when placed in female patients.  Your lower facial balance will be improved significantly.

Based on these photos, chin augmentation seems to be best way to bring balalnce to your face/profile. This can be done by means of genioplasty or chin implant. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in facial implants is recommended.
