54 year old woman. Recently list 60 pounds. Had a mini-facelift 12 years ago, buccal fat removal 2 years ago. Thinking of having a mini face lift. Advisable? Worry my face will look too "short" given my small chin?

Answer: Best Procedure for 54 y/o, recent weight loss We appreciate your question. After reviewing your pictures, it appears that a mini facelift may not achieve the most effective facial rejuvenation in your case. Typically, mini facelifts are recommended for individuals in their 30's and early 40's who exhibit minimal signs of aging. A more comprehensive procedure such as a deep-plane facelift would be more suitable and provide a longer-lasting outcome. This type of facelift can effectively get rid of jowls, tighten the lower face and neck, as well as smooth out the cheeks. We recommend seeking a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon who specializes in facelifts to determine the best option for you. Best wishes! Dr. Konstantin

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
