My last pregnancy was 2 and a half years ago and I just recently got my tubes tied 6 weeks ago. I have my surgery for TT/BBL scheduled in 7 weeks. Would I still be able to get it done or am I going to have to reschedule for a later time?
Answer: Timing of surgery As long as you are healing normally it should be safe for you to proceed with your next surgery as planned. I do recommend that you discuss the situation with your plastic surgeon, who will make the ultimate decision on whether surgery should be delayed.

Answer: Timing Your Tummy Tuck and BBL After Tubal Removal: Ensuring a Safe Recovery It's great to hear that you're considering a tummy tuck, liposuction, and Brazilian butt lift to enhance your body contours. While your last pregnancy was over two years ago, you've had tubal removal surgery just six weeks ago. It's essential to allow your body enough time to heal and recover from this procedure before undergoing further surgery. Typically, it is recommended to wait at least three months after any significant surgery before considering another procedure. This waiting period ensures that your body has adequately healed and is ready for the physical stress of another surgery. However, each individual's healing process and medical history may vary, and it is crucial to consult with your plastic surgeon to determine the best course of action for your specific situation. Given that your TT/BBL surgery is scheduled in 7 weeks, which is just over a month and a half away, it might be cutting it close, considering the recommended waiting period. It is essential to discuss your recent tubal removal and recovery with your plastic surgeon, who can evaluate your readiness for the upcoming procedures and advise you on whether it's safe to proceed or if rescheduling is necessary. Thank you for the question, and I wish you the best of luck in your body transformation journey! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Waiting time Dear cv95, you should be fully healed prior to another surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Cosmetic surgery with previous procedures If you have surgery scheduled then you must’ve had a consultation. You should’ve discussed your history at that time. Each plastic surgeon will have their own view on this so my suggestion is that you discuss this with your provider. Some people may not have an issue at all with previous laparoscopic surgeries and others may want you to wait a significant amount of time. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
