Upper abdominal lipo revision - what options do I have? (Photos)
I’m concerned that my upper abdominal area looks uneven and does not match the smoother contour of my lower abdomen. I had expected the overall result to look more continuous and balanced as opposed to what appears to be a pinachable roll of fat that hangs and sags a bit especially when wearing high waisted pants. I’m trying to understand the best path forward, as I feel self-conscious wearing bikinis or athletic clothing that exposes my upper abdomen. I’m 5'4" and 117 lbs and previously underwent a mastopexy with lower abdominal and flank liposuction. I had been under the impression that my entire abdomen would be treated from top to bottom, but I was later told that the upper abdominal area I’m concerned about was not treated. I would really appreciate input from board-certified plastic surgeons on the following: Does the area above my belly button look like something that could benefit from revision liposuction? If so, is there a risk that it could make the contour more irregular? What is the likelihood the skin would retract as well as my lower abdomen result did? What revision options are typically considered for this type of concern? Is there another procedure that would better suit my concern? I understand that photos and an online post cannot replace an in-person evaluation. I’m mainly hoping to better understand what my options may be and what questions I should ask during a consultation. Thank you for any professional insight.
