Will lipo 360 make sciatica from a hip injury worse?

I am considering getting lipo 360 but l am a bit nervous about the pain. 7 yrs ago l lifted a really heavy bag and l twisted my hip it rotated to the right. I get sciatica sometimes if my lower back gets tight from doing to much. I can’t lift heavy or work out as hard as l use to because i’ll get pain down my right leg. Thus far i’ve managed the injury with chiropractor adjustments and massages I’m 95% better. Would lipo 360 cause me to have excessive pain or make my sciatica worse?

We understand how this must be a concern for you. No, liposuction doesn't cause back pain. However, if you are experiencing swelling and bruising, that can be causing pain. I would suggest you see your doctor and make sure you are doing proper after care, such as massage, hyperbaric oxygen, IV therapy, or compression. liposuction should have no effect on your sciatica. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

While I seriously doubt that liposuction will affect your sciatic pain, there is a moderate amount of positional turning during the procedure in the OR.    There is always a small chance that this may 'tweak' your back.  
I personally have not had patients exacerbate their back issues during a cosmetic procedure.

Liposuction is unlikely to have an impact on lower back pathology.

I recommend seeing an MD pain specialist and get a proper evaluation of your lower back including an MRI.

There are numerous treatments that can be highly effective for this type of pain once the actual point of pathology has been isolated.

Liposuction result vary a lot.  Choose your surgeon carefully.

No one will promise it will not aggravate your pain and it could but the nerve root compressions are deep to the fat layer.
